I Review Enjoy Life Gluten-free Pizza Crust

If you don’t like pizza then there is something seriously wrong with you. Since I have celiac disease and I have to eat 100% gluten-free I have to eat gluten-free pizza. But that doesn’t change my view on how much I love pizza. No dietary restrictions should. Thats a rule to live by.

Enjoy Life Foods was awesome enough to send me a gigantic box of some of their new gluten-free baking mixes. It was full of things like; brownie mix and all purpose gluten-free flour, and of course pizza crust. Why else would I preface my weekly article with a diatribe about pizza? But, here’s the thing I have to make this pizza crust.

I will tell you right off the bat, I am a 34 year old man and I have never ever made homemade pizza crust. It’s something I have never really done. That’s the simple answer. So when Enjoy Life sent along the box of baking mixes, I had to get my fingers dirty and actually make me some gluten-free pizza crust.

What you need to know about the Enjoy Life pizza crust is that it is free from 14 allergens: gluten, wheat, dairy, casein, potato, peanut, tree nut, egg, sesame, soy, fish, shellfish and sulphites and I am 100% impressed because Enjoy Life has defiantly added a special ingredient in there. If ALL of these allergens are missing from the gluten-free pizza crust, the special additive must be love. The website says “It’s so simple and tastes amazing…” and they couldn’t have been more right.

I liked it. If fact, I loved it. It tasted great.

I have a zero beard hair guarantee in ALL my cooking.

My four year old kid and I spent some quality daddy/daughter time together and made up this gluten-free crust and it was easy and fun and quite bonding experience. If Enjoy Life added love to the mix, it sure showed when my daughter and I handled each step of making the gluten-free pizza crust together like pros (as a side note: my daughter has in fact made pizza crust before, even at 4 years old she has more baking experience than me. (Damn her summer camp).

It really is easy to do. You make the gluten-free pizza crust and you bake the gluten-free pizza crust THEN you put the toppings on.

Don't be fooled. All she really cares about is cheese and pineapples.

If there is ever a person who cares more about cheese and pineapple I’d like to meet them.

The Enjoy Life gluten-free pizza crust held together like a champ and I mounded my toppings on as only a monster eater would. It was an amazing literal translation of the Enjoy Life motto “EAT FREELY” because that is what the freedom of a great gluten-free pizza crust allowed me to do. Spend time with my daughter and create a lasting memory. The memory of a great gluten-free pizza crust that this old celiac can enjoy and the memory of making my first homemade pizza crust (even if I did make my daughter do most of the work).
